This event will be hosting our Opening Ceremony. It will be taking place on Saturday 13th May. It will open at 9 am and end at 4 pm. The Opening Ceremony will start at midday. The Mayor of Eastbourne will open the Festival, and there will be a presentation by Eastbourne Sea Swimmers.

The Eco-Stalls will all focus on eco-sympathetic activity. Also, there will be stalls to publicise different activities which you can join in with. These include Citizen Science by Strandliners, Seaweed Search by Marine Conservation Society and Yoga on the Beach by Gymanda.

You will be able to buy various articles and products to help with our campaign. There will also be a Registration Desk in the Plastic Free Eastbourne stall. Here you can sign up for various events which will be taking place over the Festival. Please be sure to bring containers or mugs if you wish to stick with our campaign to eliminate single-use plastics from our town. This is a Free Event.
