Plastic Free Eastbourne is the campaigning group that is leading our town's efforts to rid Eastbourne of single-use plastics. We were awarded this status of being a Plastic Free Community in December 2019, by Surfers Against Sewage. This is the charity based in Cornwall that manages all of the over 600 communities that are endeavouring to become plastic-free.

We are also linked to Refill Eastbourne ~ this organisation is encouraging everyone to use a refillable bottle to top up “on the go” to replace the single-use plastic bottles of water. The same volume of water in one of these bought bottles of water costs 50 times more than the same volume in mains drinking water.

Please join our growing group of campaigners as a way of making small changes in our behaviour improvement.

Our organisation will have a stall here. We will have items for sale.

Litter pickers £5 each

Educational books about creatures affected by pollution and other hazards ~ ideal for Primary aged pupils £8 each

T-Shirts made by Ecogie ~ are sustainable and organic, with cotton grown in North India, where the plentiful rainfall means that eco-unfriendly irrigated water is not required!

Paper ball decorations to use for parties and celebrations instead of balloons, which are so bad for the environment

There will also be the chance to sign our petition to lobby parliament about Biomass Plastics

We will also be recruiting volunteers to join our unique project "Adopt a Beach"
