SATURDAY 20th AND SUNDAY 21st March 2021 : All day
BHASSEXPLORE welcomes people who are walking in the area within the social distancing guideline to get involved in their bubbles to clean up the eastern side of Cuckmere between the river and the Seven Sisters cliffs. There are lots of small pieces of human made rubbish scattered along the banks and beach, as well as bigger pieces tangled within the prickly bushes and plants. The tide often washes in rope, netting and other synthetic materials caught up in the seaweed, so this is a good place to walk the tide line.
HOW TO GET Park in the Seven Sisters country park car Parking is £3 for up to 2 hours or £4 for the day. The machines take cards and coins but not notes. If this car park is full you can park in Friston Forest. Follow the South Downs Way path to the beach, this is just over a 1 mile walk and BHASSEXPLORE will be litter picking from this stretch down to the cliffs. This walk is easily accessible and on a concrete path however the beach itself is stoney. Large hippo bags will be provided near the car park so that rubbish you collect can be picked up by the council at the end of the weekend.
